When Lil Uzi Vert dropped Eternal Atake early 2020, he had the world wrapped around his fingers.
Eternal Atake featured Uzi’s 3 seperate personalities: Baby Pluto, Renji & Lil Uzi Vert... Each part consisted of 6 tracks... (666?... ehh, keep that away from me). One week later, he dropped LUV vs The World 2 (dropping the two albums back to back was an ode to Father Pluto). He showcased multiple rap cadences, flexed Elliott diamonds and emphasized how he “took JT out of the city”.
Uzi’s rockstar throne was quickly challenged when a wild, punk*emo Playboi Carti appeared!
A new creature (Vamp Carti) was waiting in tall grass for unsuspecting trainers. After dropping “@Meh” on fans early 2020 [see article at bottom], Carti teased snippets from Whole Lotta Redd... He finally showcased his perfect “baby voice” on Pain 1993 with Drake.
Playboi Carti kept his fans and haters waiting until he blessed us all with a gift on December 25th...
WLR finally dropped after constant harassment/pushing from DJ Akademiks & Mario Judah. Whole Lotta Redd features 24 tracks and is just over an hour in streaming time.

Trippie Redd decided recently to take his emo sound to another level... On February 19th, he released a collaboration project “Neon Shark vs Pegasus” with legendary Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker. Trippie croons love ballads over heavy rock instrumentals that would even leave the Tin Man heartbroken 💔. “GERONIMO” steals the show and lifts listeners into another realm of existence. Not to mention Machine Gun Kelly delivers the perfect assist on “RED SKY” & “PILLBREAKER” for Trip. I would definitely say Trippie executed the rock-pop sound the best out of our 3 contestants.
